Hello. my name is Hannah Means.
I am a retired teacher of grades 2 through 6. I taught
for 25 years in Connecticut. During that time I participated in the State
Mentoring program and the Celebration of Excellence. I also enjoyed having
several student teachers in my classroom. I have always enjoyed sharing
ideas and materials with other teachers.
I used Cooperative learning and
simulations in my classroom a great deal and felt that they were a very
successful method of teaching. I believe that the more the children are
involved in their learning, the more information they will absorb.
In this site I hope to give any
interested teachers some tips that I learned the hard way. I am eager to
hear from any of you who would like to write to make comments or
suggestions. I would be happy to receive your e-mail, mailto:guide@hmeans.bizland.com
