Creating a Class Web Site

Creating a web page is becoming increasingly an important tool in the teacher's repertoire. If your school has such a workshop, be sure to sign up for it. A web page can give you a way to keep in touch with the parents and the students. There are sites, some of which I have listed below, that make creating a web page easy and they are free. On a web page you can post your classroom policies, assignments, schedules and spelling words. You can show off the student's achievements. You can even suggest Internet links that have information that you would like your students or parents to see. Best of all, never again can your students claim ignorance of assignments nor can the parents complain that they didn't know what their children's assignments were.
